In celebration of National Banned Books Week we will be showcasing books that have been banned by schools, libraries and churches over the years. You’ll find many great classics including Catcher in the Rye, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, A Wrinkle in Time and many more on display with the reason’s why they have been banned. Just look for the brown paper “bands” with the title Banned Book.
We will also be showing films based on banned books. Go to our Banned Books website at http://ys.bplsonline.org/teens/BBW/index/index.html to see reviews of the films and why the featured books have been banned. Celebrate the Freedom to Read during Banned Books Week at Bedford Central Library!
